Did you do the full Brass Prep off-camera (Inspecting, De-Priming, Primer Pocket Cleaning, Cleaning/Polishing - From the Tumble cleaner into an Ultra Sound cleaner, Sizing, Trimming, Inspecting) or is there a part of the reloading line that will automatically do the De-Priming, Cleaning, Sizing, Trimming? Edit: Well, @9:40 answered some questions. @11:07... Well, that is the Brass Sizing and Brass Trimming. When you resize Brass, it gets longer. This needs to be trimmed back to length. That is the Brass Length that will fit in your gun and then there is the Total Round Length that fit in the chamber. i.e. there are two Length Measurements that are Important. The fun part is that that second Total Round Length is different for ever gun - for the best shooting. @11:42 - Yeah, you are using an Optic... You need to Re-Zero with ever Reloading change you make. Test your Ammo with Iron Sights.

Lacks the tool to place the bullet into the shell. I get it, it's bit complicated to ensure they land correctly but if it had that, one could make a rotary crank for it and motorise it.

Dad: GREAT job, especially in the beginning, keeping the girls motivated!!! Couple of tips: 1) I'm really surprised that Dillon has not provided you with a Bullet Feeder. 2) I load lots of 9mm rounds, and I've learned that those "bullet checkers" are utterly worthless! I ALWAYS use my gun barrel to check fit!!! Got more than one gun? Herd them all up and find out which one is the tightest or requires the shortest Over All Bullet length. 3) Crushing cases? Sound like the case isn't reliably being fed into the Reloader. 4) I've NEVER bent a pin on that 1st stage. Meeting undue resistance, that pin is supposed to be pushed up into the die. 5) The one case you showed looked like a Berdan-primed case. If I remember correctly, you can reload those, but it might take an external operation.

That's not the rim of an old primer. It's a primer crimp, typically used in military and sometimes police ammo to hold primers in place. They need to be removed using a reamer or swager. Either way will achieve the same result: reforming the primer pocket to accept a primer. Honestly, you can use anything from a countersink bit on a drill to a pocket knife, but the best results come from using the correct tools! I highly recommend buying a book about the basics of reloading. They're quick reads and full of useful tips.

Mega tip! Instead of picking up primers one by one, buy the Frankford Arsenal VibraPrime! It's worth every penny for filling those primer tubes!

A lot of times if your bullet doesn't fit nicely in the case guage it's just a small chip or burr on the brass, if you can find the burr and sand it off or clean it up in some way it'll most likely be just fine. Also those case gauges are MUCH tighter than gun barrels, if the bullet falls in and out of your barrel it's also just fine to shoot. Don't go wasting a bunch of good ammo just because it doesn't fit the case guage.
